Trimble Buys Tata AutoComp Mobility Telematics

Sunnyvale-based Trimble said Thursday that it has acquired Tata AutoComp Mobility Telematics Limited (TMT), a subsidiary of Tata AutoComp Systems Limited of Pune, India. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Tata AutoComp Mobility Telematics provides vehicle tracking and other telematics solutions to school bus operators, cargo and logistics organizations, emergency services, and others. Trimble said the buy will broaden its telematics and MRM solutions, and also bolster its Indian presence.
