ShareThis Hires Marketing Chief

Palo Alto-based ShareThis, an online service which allows users to share content with others while tying into brands and advertisers, said today that it has named Kristen Fergason as Chief Marketing Officer. Fergason has previously been at Yahoo, Maven Networks, and Major League Baseball Advanced Media. As part of the appointment, ShareThis said it has promoted Julie Greenhouse to SVP Ad Sales & Business Development, and Ben Slutter to VP Revenue and Ad Operations. ShareThis is backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Blue Chip Venture Company, DFJ Mercury, Reservoir Partners, Illinois Ventures, Queen City Angels and RPM Ventures.
