Trimble Buys Mesta Software

Sunnyvale-based Trimble, the developer of GPS-based equipment, said today that it has acquired Mesta Software, a developer of software for the Nordic construction market. Trimble said it acquired Mesta Software from Mesta Entreprenor AS, a subsidiary of Mesta Konsern AS, a Norwegian contracting group for the road and highway construction market. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Trimble said the buy will help it address local application requirements for the Nordic markets.
