Amazon Debuts Android App Store
Applications for Google's mobile operating system, Android, have hit Amazon.com, Amazon said today, as it launched its Amazon Appstore for Android. Amazon said it is offering up 3,800 pre-approved apps on the store, which can be purchased using Amazon 1-click and new Android applications. As part of the launch, Amazon said it is offering up a free version of Angry Birds Rio exclusively through the store. Amazon already is facing a lawsuit from Apple over the name "Appstore".
