Inkling Backed by McGraw-Hill, Pearson
San Francisco-based Inkling, a developer of interactive textbooks for tablet PCs, said Wednesday that it has gained investments from McGraw-Hill and Pearson. Financial details of the funding were not disclosed. Inkling is headed by Matt MacInnis, and offers up interactive textbook content for students. The investment deal also includes a deal to publish versions of 100 undergrad textbooks from McGraw-Hill Higher Education, medical reference titles from McGraw-Hill Professional, MBA and undergraduate content from Pearson Education, and medical education curriculum from Wolters Kluwer Health.
