TutorVista Acquired By Pearson

Indian online tutoring service TutorVista.com, which was venture backed by Sequoia Capital and Lightspeed Ventures, said today that it has been acquired by education company Pearson. TutorVista said the deal had an equity valuation of $213M. TutorVista had raised over $33M in funding from Sequoia Capital, Lightspeed Ventures, Manipal Education and Medical Group, and Pearson.
