Andreessen Horowitz Launches New $200M Fund
Venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, which just closed on a $1.0 billion investment fund, has added another $200M in a co-investment fund, the firm said today. Andreessen Horowitz said the $200M co-investment fund for Fund II specifically will allow its limited partners to get more exposure to its high-quality growth companies in its portfolio. The venture firm said that the funding will go to growth companies who need additional capital, and are hiring aggressively, expanding internationally, making acquisitions, investing in facilities, and investing in marketing. The new funds brings the venture firm's total capital under management to $1.2 billion.
