Pulse Gets $9M for iPad Reader
Palo Alto-based Pulse, the developer of a news reader app for the iPad, iPhone, and Android, said this week that it has raised $9M in a Series A funding. The round came from New Enterprise Associates (NEA), Greycroft Partners, and Lerer Ventures. The firm said that NEA's Patrick Chung joins its board, with Greycroft's Alan Patricof, and Lerer Ventures' Ken Lerer becoming advisors. The funding will go towards growing its engineering team and to expand its platform support. The firm has partnerships with The Atlantic, CNET, Discover Magazine, Gawker, The Huffington Post, The New Yorker, the Wall Street Journal, and others. More information »
