Evernote Raises $50M

Mountain View-based Evernote, the provider of note taking software, said today that it has raised $50M in a new round of funding. The round was led by Sequoia Capital, and also included Morgenthaler Ventures. As part of the funding, Roelof Botha of Sequoia has been added as a board member at the firm; Botha was previously an observer. The company also said it has named Ken Gullicksen--formerly a partner at Morgenthaler and the VC firm's board representative--as head of its corporate development and acquisition strategy. Evernote said the new funding willl go towards and "aggressive growth and acquisition strategy." Evernote is headed by Phil Libin. More information »
