Brin, Wojcicki Donate $50M To Back To The Future Shoe Benefit

Google founder Sergey Brin and his wife, Anne Wojcicki, have donated $50M to a project run by the Michael J. Fox Foundation and NIKE around replicas of shoes featured in the futuristic Back To The Future movies. According to NIKE, it is releasing the "2011 NIKE MAG", based on shoes worn by Fox's character Marty McFly in Back To The Future II, and will be conducting a charity eBay auction of 1500 pairs to benefit the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Nike said the shoes are an "exact replica" of the shoes featured in that movie. As part of that effort, Nike said Brin and Wojcicki donated $50M to the foundation as a matching grant. The Michael J. Fox Foundation supports Parkinson's Research.
