Elance Picks Up $16M
Mountain View-based Elance, which operates an online marketplace for finding freelancers, said Tuesday that it has raised $16M in an expansion capital round. The round was led by the Stripes Group, and also included New Enterprise Associates (NEA) and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. Elance, which is led by Fabio Rosati, lets employers post requests for project proposals, and helps connect those employers with freelance talent. As part of the funding, both Dan Marriott of Stripes Group and NEA's Paul Hsiao have joined Elance's board of directors. More information »
