ThisLife Gets $2.75M For Photo Organization Site

Palo Alto-based ThisLife, a new startup aimed at the photo sharing segment of the world, said that it has raised $2.75M in a funding round this morning, led by Madrona Ventures. Other investors in the round include Morado Ventures, Rogers Venture Partners, Brad Jefferson (Animoto), Sujal Patel (Isilon), and Brad Garlinghouse (YouSendIt). The startup, headed by Andrea Johnson, operates an online service geared around organizing and sharing photos using facial recognition and other features, and which also supports importing photos from a slew of other existing photo services.
