Maveron Boosts Presence In San Francisco

Venture capital investment firm Maveron, the consumer focused investor whose founders includes Starbucks' Howard Schultz, said this morning that it has bolstered its presence in San Francisco, with the hire of a new Venture Partner. Maveron said it has named David Wu as a Venture Partner in the San Francisco office,m to focus on emerging consumer Internet companies for Maveron. Wu is an angel investor, having invested in Practice Fusion, Sociable Labs, Postmates, Beautylish, and Taulia, and also is involved with the Band of Angels. Wu was most recently Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Redpoint Ventures. Maveron has offices in both San Francisco and SEattle.
