Tintri Adds $25M For VM-Aware Storage

Mountain View-based storage appliance provider Tintri has bolstered its funding by $25M, led by Menlo Ventures and also including prior investors NEA and Lightspeed Venture Partners. The firm said the round--which was oversubscribed--will go to accelerate R&D and sales operations. Tintri develops storage appliances which are specialized and aware of virtual machines, and are able to optimize and manage storage for those virtual environments.
