Ditech Networks Acquired By Nuance

San Jose-based Ditech Networks, which develops voice processing technology used by carriers for understanding human speech, has been acquired by speech recognition technology provider Nuance. The deal is worth approximately $22.5M, or $1.45 per share in cash of publicly held Ditech. Nuance said the buy will enhance its portfolio of offerings. The deal inclkudes Ditech's PhoneTag voicemail-to-text services.
