Ayasdi Digs Up $10M For Big Data Discovery

Palo Alto-based Ayasdi said today that it has raised $10.25M in a Series A funding, for its big data platform for helping organizations parse through their large and complex datasets. The funding was led by Khosla Ventures and FLOODGATE. The firm said its platform combines advanced mathematics, computer science, and visualization to find "breakthrough insights" in their data. The firm was founded by Stanford Professor Gunnar Carlsson, based on research funded by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and the National Science Foundation. More information »
