Bessemer Venture Partners Bolsters Team

Venture capital firm Bessemer Venture Partners said last week that it has named a number of new partners. According to Bessemer, it has promoted Kent Bennett, Brian Feinstein, Ethan Kurzweil and Trevor Oelschig to partner, has hired Alex Ferrara as partner, and moved Jeff Epstein to operating partner. Bennett has been at BVP since 2008, and is focused on big data, data-infrastructure and communications; Feinstein focuses on Internet, software and financial services; Kurzweil focuses on cloud computing, consumer web and mobile technologies; and Oelschig is focused on investments in software and the consumer web. Ferrara is focused on software and Internet companies and the intersection of financial services and technology. Finally, EIR Jeff Epstein has been moved into an operating partner role.
