MegaChips Merges With Kawasaki Microelectronics

San Jose-based MegaChips Corporation said Monday that it and its wholly owned subsidiary, Kawasaki Microelectronics, have merged, and will become MegaChips Technology America Corporation. The two said the move would give its customers the combined technology of both companies and a unified development team. MegaChips acquired Kawasaki Microelectronics from JFE Holdings in April of 2012. The combined firm has operations in San Jose, Osaka, and Bangalore. Both firms develops LSI chips.
