Azure Capital Heads North, Opens Canadian Office

San Francisco-based venture capital investor Azure Capital has turned its eyes north of the border, saying today that it has opened up a brand new office in Calgary, Alberta, to scope out investments across Canada. Azure pointed to an "impressive community of talented entrepreneurs" as well as Canada's economic policies for the move. Azure Capital said it will not only look for deal flow in Calgary, but also will look for companies based in and around Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. The new office will be led by Dan Park, who was formerly at investment banking firm Foros Group.
