SanDisk Backs Panzura

Milpitas-based SanDisk Corporation, which develops flash memory products, said this morning that it has backed cloud storage firm Panzura, as part of that company's recent venture round. SanDisk said that it invested in Panzura's Series D through its venture arm, SanDisk Ventures. Panzura develops flash-based, network attached storage products. Panzura's other investors include Meritech Capital, Matrix Partners, Khosla Ventures, Opus Capital and Chevron Technology Ventures. The size of SanDisks's investment was not announced. SanDisk launched its venture arm in 2012, and says it has the goal of investing $75M over a three-year period in companies using flash memory in their products. More information »
