Symmetricom Acquired By Microsemi
San Jose-based timing chip developer Symmetricom said Monday that it is being acquired by Microsemi, a semiocnductor developer based in Aliso Viejo, California. The deal is worth $230M, or $7.18 per share. Symmetricom is a developer of timekeeping chips, used in GPS satellites, the power grid, military and other equipment, as well as for the power grid.
