Quantenna Gets Strategic Funding

Fremont-based wireless chipmaker Quantenna said this morning that it has received a strategic investment, from wireles provider Vivint Wireless. Financial terms of the investment were not announced. Quantenna said that Vivint Wireless--a unit of Vivint--joined Swisscom, Telefonica, and NTT as a strategic investor in the company. Quantenna develops high performance, 802.11ac MIMO semiconductors. Vivint Wireless is using Quantenna's technology in its rollout of a residential, broadband-over-Wi-Fi network. More information »
