Knightscope Nabs $5.2M For Crime Prevention Robots
Mountain View-based Knightscope, a developer of predictive analytics tools aimed at predicting and preventing crime--using an army of wandering robots--has raised $5.2M in a Series A funding. The company said the funding came from NTT DOCOMO Ventures, Konica Minolta, Inc. and Flextronics. nightScope is led by William Santana Li, and develops a fleet of autonomous robots which monitor public places with cameras and other sensors. The company said its products are aimed at use on corporate campuses, around data centers, shopping malls and where private security guards are stationed. More information »
