SoFi Scores $200M For Loan Refinancing Service

San Francisco-based SoFi has raised $200M in a Series D financing, for the company's students loan and other refinancing service. The funding was led by Third Point Ventures, and also included Wellington Management Company LLP, Institutional Venture Partners and existing investors. SoFi offers up refinancing of federal and private students loans, plus also mortgages and personal loans. The company said it will use the funds for expansion of its consumer lending products.
