CropX Harvests $9M For Smart Irrigation Software, Sensors
San Francisco- and Tel Aviv-based CropX, which offers up an irrigation map service to farmers to help them optimize the watering of their fields, has raised $9M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Finistere Ventures, Innovation Endeavors, and GreenSoil Investments. CropX said it uses sensor-based technology to determine how much water to apply to fields--or even different parts of the same field--to save up to 25 percent of the water and energy used in irrigation. The company's wireless sensors connect directly to farmers' smartphones. CropX is led by Isaac Bentwich. More information »
