Pandora Buys Next Big Sound

Oakland-based streaming music service Pandora said Wednesday afternoon that it has completed its acquisition of Next Big Sound, a provider of analytics tools aimed at musicians, labels, and marketers. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Pandora is buying Next Big Sound to bolster its analytics capabilities. Big Sound was venture backed by Alsop Louie Partners, Foundry Group, SoftTech VC, David Cohen, and Troy Henikoff.
