Synopsys Acquires IP From Silicon Vision

Mountain View-based Synopsys has acquired a slice of intellectual property from Silicon Vision, to help bolster its library of wireless designs. Synopsys said it has acquired the Bluetooth Smart IP from Silicon Vision, which is use in the Internet of Things (IoT) market. Financial details of the deal--which Synopsys said is not material to its operations--were not announced. Bluetooth Smart is a version of the Bluetooth standard specifically aimed at ultra low power consumption.
