Roominate Raises $1M For Girls' Electronic Kits
Santa Clara-based Roominate, which develops a line of toys aimed at girls to create their own inventions, which can be controlled via a phone or tablet, has raised $1M in a funding round. The funding came from Mark Cuban, Aspiration Growth Opportunities, iD Ventures America, Tandem Capital, and the Stanford StartX fund. Roominate was created by two female engineers out of Caltech, MIT, and Stanford.
