Google Acquires Divshot For Development Team

Google said this morning that it has acquired the team behind Divshot, an online static web page hosting service used by web developers. Divshot's team will join Google as part of its Firebase app development tools arm. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Divshot was venture backed by 500 Startups, Cooley LLP, Daher Capital, Drummond Road Capital, Floodlight Ventures, Rincon Venture Partners, and TenOneTen Ventures. Google is shutting down Divshot's services on December 14th as part of the acquisition.
