Appcelerator Acquired By Axway

San Jose-based Appcelator, a developer of cross-platform, mobile app development software, has been acquired by Axway, Axway said over the weekend. Financial terms of the all-cash buy were not announced. Appcelerator was venture backed by Rembrandt Venture Partners, Union Grove Venture Partners, along with prior investors Storm Ventures, Sierra Ventures, Mayfield Fund, Translink Capital, Relay Ventures and EDB Investments. Axway is based in Paris, France.
