Cisco Buys Jasper Technologies

San Jose-based networking giant Cisco said late Wednesday that it has acquired Jasper Technologies, which develops cloud-based, Internet-of-Things (IoT) software for the enterprise market. Cisco said it will pay $1.4 billion in cash and assumed equity awards, plus additional retention based incentives for Jasper. Jasper was based in Santa Clara, and was led by Jahangir Mohammed.
