Uber Facing Another Black Eye After Michigan Driver Goes On Murder Rampage
San Francisco-based Uber is facing yet another possible black eye, after one of its drivers went on a shooting rampage in Kalamazoo County, Michigan. The suspect, Jason Brian Dalton, was charged today with six counts of murder, among with other charges, after six people were killed across Michigan at random. Dalton--who Uber said was a driver for the service--apparently picked up Uber passengers in between the shootings. Uber said it was "horrified and heartbroken at the senseless violence" in Kalamazoo. Dalton apparently did not have any kind of criminal record and passed Uber's background checks.
