Facebook Buys Masquerade
Menlo Park-based Facebook has acquired Masquerade, the companies said Wednesday. Masquerade said that it will be working with Facebook to bring its technology--which tracks faces and overlays silly masks and other decorations in real time conversations--to Facebook's audience of nearly 1.6 billion people. Masquerade said that it will continue to offer up its app. Masquerade was backed by Yuri Gurski and Gagarin Capital, and was led by CEO Eugene Nevgen.
