Unity Technologies Seeks New Funding, $1.5 Billion Valuation
San Francisco-based game engine maker Unity Technologies, the developer of 3D game engine technology for the videogame industry, is seeking to raised new funding which would value the company at $1.5 billion, according to reports. The company has not confirmed the fundraising effort, and no details were released on how much the company is seeking to raise in the new round. Unity supplies much of the back end rendering engines used in everything from 3D shooter games to virtual reality environments.
