Finistere Ventures, IFC Team On New Fund, Willow Hill Ventures

Palo Alto- and San Diego-based venture investor Finistere Ventures, and agriculture giant International Farming Corporation (IFC) announced a new venture fund, Willow Hill Ventures, this morning. The companies said that Willow Hill Ventures will focus on providing growth capital to help early agricultural technology startups scale into viable farming businesses. The new fund will focus on companies in informatics/big data, novel farm systems, food quality and nutrition, genetics and seed tech that increase the sustainability, profitability and productivity of agriculture, according to the companies.
