Auro Robotics Picks Up $2M For Self Driving Campus Shuttles
Well, so much for that work study job driving people around campus--a new, San Francisco-based robotics startup, Auro Robotics, has just raised $2M to bring its self-driving, electric campus shuttles to market. The funding came from Motus Ventures and Rothernberg Ventures. Auro Robotics currently has a prototype, self-driving electric golf cart, which shuttles people to and from buildings on college campuses. The company's robots use GPS, and other sensors to navigate its electric carts around schools, and has a pilot program running at Santa Clara University.
