AppZen Gets $2.9M For Automated, Expense Report Compliance Software

Sunnyvale-based AppZen, which is applying artificial intelligence software to recognizing and approving expense reports, has raised $2.9M in a funding round, the company said Wednesday. The funding came from Resolution Ventures, along with Bloomberg Beta, Silicon Valley Bank, MasterCard, plus FundersClub. AppZen is led by Anant Kale. AppZen's AI software looks through expense reports to flag anomalies and help travel and expense teams with compliance efforts.
