Genesys Buys Interactive Intelligence For $1.4 Billion
Daly City-based Genesys, a developer of contact center management software, said this morning that it is acquiring Indanapolis-based Interactive Intelligence Group. The deal is worth approximately $1.4 billion. Genesys will pay $60.50 per share in cash for the company. Genesys said the deal is being funded through cash on hand and debt financing, which is coming from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Citigroup Global Markets Inc., Goldman Sachs and RBC Capital Markets. Advisors in the deal to Genesys are BofA Merrill Lynch, Citi, Goldman Sachs and RBC Capital Markets plus legal from Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP. Interactive Intelligence is being advised by Union Square Advisors LLC and Faegre Baker Daniels LLP.
