Altiscale Acquired By SAP

Palo Alto-based Altiscale, a developer of technology which helps companies to implement Hadoop in their data centers, has been acquired by SAP, SAP said on Tuesday. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. Altiscale had raised $42M in funding from Northgate Capital, Sequoia Capital, and General Catalyst Partners, and was led by CEO Raymie Stata.
