Contrast Security Gets $16M For Application Security Tools
Palo Alto-based Constrast Security, a developer of application security software, announced this morning that it has raised $16M in a funding round. The funding came from General Catalyst Partners, plus Acero Capital, Ron Gula (Tenable Network Security), Paul Sagan (Akamai technologies) and John W. Thompson (Microsoft Corp.). Contrast Security's CEO is Alan Naumann. The company's technology is embedded into software apps, to block attacks and self-detect vulnerabilities.
