Cisco Buys Cognitive Security
San Jose-based Cisco said Tuesday that it has acquired Czech network security firm Cognitive Security. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Cisco said that the buy will boost its network security platform. Cognitive Security was based in Prague, and developed network security tools which uses artificial intelligence techniques to detect advanced cyber threats. Cisco said Cognitive Security becomes part of its Security Technology Group.
