OpenGov Gets $30M

Redwood City-based OpenGov, a developer of software used by governments for open data efforts, budgeting, operational intelligence, and other efforts to help provide financial transparency to citizens, said today that it has raised $30M in a Series C funding. The funding was led by the Emerson Collective. OpenGov also has previously raised funding from Andreessen Horowitz, 8VC, and Thrive Capital. The company says it has now raised $75M in total. The new funds go towards investments in engineering, sales, and marketing, according to the company. OpenGov's CEO and Co-Founder is Zac Bookman.
