Piper Picks Up $7.6M For DIY Computer Kits For Kids

San Francisco-based Piper, the developer of a do-it-yourself, computer kit aimed at helping children with learning STEM subjects, has raised $7.6M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Owl Ventures, and also included Reach Capital and Stanford StartX fund, along with Charles Huang, co-founder of Guitar Hero. Piper's first product is a build-it-yourself computer based on Raspberry Pi, which helps kids learn STEM skills while assembling the kit. Mark Pavlyukovskyy is co-founder and CEO of Piper.
