Brilliant Brings In $21M For Smart Home Automation

San Mateo-based Brilliant, a developer of smart home products aimed at helping consumers control their lighting, music, and climate using voice and touch controls, has raised $21M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by August Capital, and also included Miramar Ventures, The Box Group, and others. Brilliant's CEO and co-founder is Aaron Emigh. August Capital's David Hornik has joined the company's board as part of the funding.
