Bolt Threads Finds $123M

Emeryville-based Bolt Threads, which is developing materials based on the strength of spider silk, disclosed today that it has raised $123M in a Series D funding round. The funding was led by Ballie Gifford, and also included Formation 8, Founders Fund, Fidelity and Temasek. The company's CEO and co-founder is Dan Widmaier. More information »
