Occipital Finds $12M More For 3D Sensors
San Francisco- and Boulder-based Occipital, which develops 3D sensors used for scanning and mapping a physical environment using computer vision and mobile devices, has raised $12M in a Series C funding, the company said this week. The funding was led by Foundry Group. Occipital develops 3D scanning software, which allows for adding large-scale reconstruction and augmented reality support on existing, mobile devices. Occipital acquired San Francisco's Paracosm last year to help grow its team in San Francisco. More information »
