Equinix Acquires Infomart Dallas

Redwood City-based data center operator Equinix said this week that it has acquired Infomart Dallas, , one of the largest, Internet interconnect hubs in the U.S., in a a deal worth $800M. Infomart Dallas had been owned by ASB Real Estate Investments. Equinix said that approximately 50 Infomart employees and contractors will become employees or contractors of the company with the acquisition. Infomart Dallas has 1.6 million gross square feet, with current capacity of 11MW of power, and potential to developan additional 40MW of capacity on land adjacent to the Infomart building. Equinix says the building generated approximately $50M in revenues in 2017, with approximately 45 tenants in the building.
