Nuro Finds Giant, $940M Funding From SoftBank

Mountin View-based robot developer Nuro, which develops self-driving, delivery robots, has raised a huge, $940M funding round from SoftBank Vision Fund, the company said on Monday. Nuro said the new funding brings its total raised to more than $1 billion. Other investors in Nuro include Greylock Partners and Gaorong Capital. The company, led by Dave Ferguson, said the funding will go to expand its delivery service to new geographies, add partners, scale its fleet, and mature its self-driving technology. The company currently is running a pilot program in Arizona.
