Texture Acquired By Apple

Menlo Park-based Texture, a developer of a publishing platform for digital version of traditional magazines, has been acquired by Apple, the two companies said this week. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Texture was formerly known as Next Issue, and had offered up a selection of digital magazines for a fixed, monthly fee.
