Trimble Buys Software Firm
Sunnyvale-based Trimble, a developer of GPS-based equipment, disclosed late last week that it has acquired the assets of CTN Data Service, located in Hamilton, Indiana. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. CTN Data Service develops the Farm Works Software, which is provided to farmers and other agriculture customers, and is used for vehicle monitoring, crop management, staffing, field mapping, chemical and fertilizer management, and cost accounting. CTN will become part of Trimble's Agriculture Division.
